Why I Love Photographing Horses and the People Who Love Them

It’s Never Just About the Horse

Every horse I photograph comes with a story. And almost always, that story includes someone who has put in the time, care, and dedication to build a real connection with them. Early mornings. Long days. Quiet moments that no one else sees. That’s what I love capturing not just how a horse looks, but what they mean to the person standing beside them (or in the saddle).

The Connection Is What Matters Most

Some of my favorite moments during a session aren’t the perfectly posed ones.

They’re the in-between moments:

  • A rider adjusting their reins without thinking

  • A horse leaning in, relaxed and trusting

  • That quiet understanding between the two

I’d Love to Work With You

If you’ve ever thought about getting photos with your horse whether it’s something simple or something more intentional I’d truly love to connect.
